How to prepare?
The preparation of sandesh is similar to that of channa with certain additional steps like heating it in the presence of sugar and flavoring agent. Channa is prepared from milk by clotting it with citric acid by scrupulously following the procedure, the excess moisture from it is drained and allowed to cool. Then sandesh is prepared by mixing it with sugar and kneaded thoroughly.
The sandesh mixture is divided into two portions and one is added with vanilla essence and mixed thoroughly. The other portion is added with chocolate powder and mixed well. The fruits are cut into small pieces. A flat tray is taken and the vanilla mixed portion of the sandesh is spread evenly and then the fruits are evenly spread over it. Then the chocolate layer is spread over it. Now the entire chocolate fruit sandesh is chilled in a refrigerator. If needed, it is decorated with silver paper and cut into required sizes and shapes. Serve the Fruit Chocolate Sandesh chilled.
